Levels I - II - III - IV
Described here is a very brief outline what each level consists of. If you would like to discuss the levels in more detail, you are always welcome to call. Boxing/training questions can be answered on Sundays between 4:00pm to 7:00pm. This is the only time that Joe is free to talk (& is not in training).
Irongloves Members: Often we are asked how soon can one progress to the next level. Quite a few factors come into play; for instance, coordination, timing, cardiovascular condition, drill speed (punching), etc. There are over 150+ different boxing drills that are spread out over Levels I, II, & III. Not only must the individual have learned & mastered each of the steps/drills before moving on, but much depends on how hard a person is willing to work. It is important to keep up with your roadwork outside the gym & of course, keep up with your Irongloves training by not canceling. Your coach can answer any questions about the levels & can give you an idea of when you can expect to advance to the next level.

This is why it is important to keep up with your cardio, as in jump rope, sprints, jogging, stairmaster, or whatever your exercise choice may be. Shadow boxing on your own plays a big role in cardio improvement. As your shadow boxing improves, then occasion- ally shadow box with 1 lb. to 2 lb. weights in each hand.

Your opponent will have similar skill levels, along with height & weight.
