Rob Monroe
Renowned Professional Boxing Coach
(notable in the MMA & UFC circle)

If you know MMA or UFC, then you know or have heard of our man Rob Monroe.
Fighters come to him for their stand up work and/or to improve their striking skills.
Rob comes to Irongloves via New Mexico. He trains fighters at the fight camps
in Albuquerque. Rob’s pride and joy is Carlos Condi t. He has been training Carlos
for years. August 3, 2008 Carlos fought for his UFC title defense and won.

Over the past ten years Rob has worked with Freddie Roach and Miguel Diaz
as well as Chuck Bodak, some of the best coaches boxing has to offer. He has
trained many pro and highly ranked amateur boxers.

Coaching and Trainer/Cutman Experience
Trainer: Kickboxing and boxing trainer from 1998 to present. Specializing in
beginner to pro level mitt and Thai pad work. Having worked with numerous
UFC and WEC veterans. Stand up coach for FIT-NHB Fight Gym in Albuquerque.

Previous trainer of current women’s Bantamweight World Champion Jackie Chavez
as well as running a very successful personal training program utilizing 1-on-1
mitt and thai pad training for noncompetitive clients.

USA Boxing Licensed Coach: Coaching amateur boxing from 1998 to present.

Cutman: Cutman on a national level for both boxing and kickboxing as well as
MMA. Studied under boxing cutman and trainer Miguel Diaz and the legendary
Chuck Bodak. Rob was Cutman for ICON Sport & Superbrawl events/title fights
in Hawaii in 2006 and 2007.

Rob’s Boxing Field Work
Published Writer: Published writer for Ultimate Grappling Magazine and Elite
Fighter Magazine. Writing both periodicals and features, along with event
coverage of WEC.

Editor: Former editor of MMA Hawaii.com covering all aspects of MMA in Hawaii.

Event Coordinator: Event Coordinator for both Fightworld MMA and Wildside
Amateur MMA promotional companies based in Albuquerque New Mexico.

Media and Event Support: Media and event support promotions with ICON
Sport, Rumble on the Rock and X-1 World Events while residing in Hawaii the
